Our Access statement is designed to be a clear and accurate description of our current facilities and services and helps to
manage our guests expectations when they consider staying with us.
We aim to provide all our guests with a comfortable and memorable stay in our three bedroom bed and breakfast home. Unfortunately, due to the style of the building, we are unable to accommodate those people with mobility disabilities.
If you have any specific questions about any part of the content of this Access notice you can contact us using the contact form on our website or by phone or email. Our contact numbers are shown on the side bar of every web page.
Our house
Kissing Gate is a large semi-detached house over three floors which was built to traditional standards in 2004 as part of an award-winning small development. It is in a small cul-de-sac off a secondary road through the Cotswold village of Ebrington. It has a small front garden and a medium sized back garden. Although the house does have other houses surrounding it, none of the bedroom windows is overlooked.
The lounge and conservatory including the dining area are all on the ground floor and have only small (1cm) threshold steps in the doorways.
Bedrooms 1 & 2 are located on the second floor: bedroom 3 is located on the first floor.
Bedrooms 1 & 2 inter-connect via a bathroom which, depending on the use of the bedroom accommodation, may be shared between the two rooms (i.e. as a family suite) or may be private to one or other of the bedrooms. Bedroom 3 is on the first floor and is located next to a private bathroom. All the bedrooms are accessed by a flight of stairs from the entrance hall with a 180 degree turn between each floor and the next.
Smoking policy
Kissing Gate is a no-smoking house. In accordance with current legislation there is an integrated smoke alarm system which covers all three floors of the house.
